Will a dog wheelchair help my dog? 

 Dogs can face mobility issues and disabilities just like humans, that can make it difficult for them to walk or move around on their own.

Wheelchairs assist to maintain your dog’s mobility, muscle mass and allows them to continue to enjoy activities like walks and playtime with their owners. This is fantastic not only for their physical health but equally for the positive effect on their mental wellbeing. In some cases, using a dog wheelchair over consistent short periods weekly or daily in conjunction with physical therapy works wonders to improve various conditions related to balance or muscular dystrophy.

Yes, your dog will naturally got about their business as usual while in the wheelchair with their legs spread and standing up. This will take some training. Your dog uses the wheelchair for support and although they cannot squat or lift their leg, they will become accustomed. The exercise and mobility the wheelchair provides stimulates bowel movement. You should discuss this option with your Vet, depending on your dogs mobility challenges. The dog wheelchair will assist dogs who have had a traumatic injury or surgery, degenerative disease, neurological disorders and old age. More info on how a dog wheelchair can help your dog.

Yes, the rear wheelchairs are designed to support the torso and encourage mobility in the rear legs. However, if your dogs rear legs are paralysed or if you dog is an amputee, stirups are provided with your wheelchair. The rear legs and paws can be safely secured to avoid dragging or injury.

Accurate measuements are required to ensure we send you the correct size wheelchair. We will require your dogs weight, breed, armpit to rump length as well as the rear leg length measurement. Please contact us for expert advice. 

Yes, you are welcome to return the wheelchair. Please notify us within 14 days. Returns will only be accepted if the return is in original packaging and unused. Please read our return policy. 

Depending on the injury or condition, a Quad full support wheelchair could be beneficial. If your dog is a front leg ampitee or you dog has limited mobility in the front legs, they will be supported in the Quad wheelchair and able to become mobile again. Consult with your Vet. 

Delivery of the dog wheelchairs is 3 working days.
