A helping hand on the hard days, so you can keep moving through life together.
The Balto Body Lift is a full-body support harness for dogs who find walking difficult through injury, illness, age or paralysis. Padded, height-adjustable handles let you take the weight off their legs and gently support them up stairs, in and out of the car, or on a slow walk round the garden, so even larger dogs can be lifted comfortably. Two removable rigid splints sit in side pockets to support and stabilise the spine, and the soft, breathable fabric is shaped to let your dog relieve themselves naturally without soiling the harness.
It's a great choice for lameness, arthritis and osteoarthritis, full or partial leg paralysis, and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Getting the size right
Most returns happen because of sizing, so please take a moment here - it only needs one measurement.
1. Take the length measurement. With your dog standing, measure the distance along the body from the centre of the shoulder to the centre of the thigh (see the diagram below).
2. Match it to the table. Find your measurement in the "Length (shoulder to thigh)" column and read across to the size.
3. Between two sizes? Choose the larger size, or message us with the measurement and we'll confirm the best fit for you.

Helping your dog settle in
Give your dog up to two weeks to fully accept the harness. Start with around 30 minutes a day and build up by roughly 30 minutes each day, up to a maximum of about 12 hours, and take it off at night. Check the skin and fur in contact with the harness, keep both clean, and inspect the harness regularly for wear. Your vet can give specific guidance on when and how long to use it for your dog's condition.
