Steadier shoulders, gentler movement, a calmer road to recovery.
The Balto Lux is a double shoulder brace that limits how far the shoulders can move outwards (abduction), supporting both shoulders at the same time. It helps with everything from minor inflammation to shoulder conditions that need the joint kept steady, and it works well as a post-operative aid for gradual rehabilitation. Four shoulder straps and adjustable thorax straps let you tune the support to your dog and your vet's instructions, and internal stiffeners add structure where it's needed.
It's recommended for shoulder joint instability, shoulder dysplasia, joint laxity or hypermobility, dislocation and inflammation.

Getting the size right
Most returns happen because of sizing, so please take a moment here - there are two things to check.
1. Note your dog's weight. Find their weight in the table below as your starting point.
2. Measure their height. Height here means the distance from the floor up to the withers (just above the shoulders), as shown in the diagram below. Check it matches the height range for that size.
3. Between two sizes? Message us with the weight and height and we'll confirm the right size before you order.

Helping your dog settle in
Give your dog up to two weeks to fully accept the brace. Start with around 30 minutes a day and build up by roughly 30 minutes each day, up to a maximum of about 12 hours, and take it off at night. Check the skin and fur in contact with the brace, keep both clean, and inspect the brace regularly for wear. Your vet can advise on how long to use it for your dog's condition.
