Steady support for a sore wrist, so they can get back to doing what they love.
The Balto Joint (BT Joint) is a carpal compression band that supports and stabilises the wrist when there's inflammation, pain, lameness or difficulty moving. It's a great everyday support during recovery, and an excellent protector over bandages, casts, surgical wounds or licking sores. Two lightweight splints on the back of the band steady the joint, while the soft, breathable fabric keeps your dog comfortable through the day.

Key Features
- 🐾Stabilises the carpus - two removable splints steady the wrist and help reduce swelling
- 🐾Protects healing skin - ideal cover for bandages, casts, surgical wounds and licking sores
- 🐾Soft, breathable fabric - comfortable enough to wear through the day
- 🐾Easy strap closure - secure blue straps make fitting and adjusting simple
- 🐾Use post-surgery or as an alternative to surgery - supports conservative recovery plans
- 🐾Five sizes - hand washable (remove the splints first)
How it fits
The band wraps around the lower leg and fastens with the blue straps. The splints sit on the back of the leg to support the joint. Good to know: this band is not designed to wrap all the way around the leg. The white-trimmed edges are not meant to meet, so a small gap is completely normal and correct. Please don't choose a larger size just because the edges don't touch.

Getting the size right
Most returns happen because of sizing, so please take a moment here.
1. Weight is the main guide. Find your dog's weight in the table below and read across to the size.
2. Confirm the fit with two quick measurements. A is the circumference of the metacarpus (just below the wrist); B is the height of the brace. Check your dog's leg against the A and B figures for that size.
3. Between two sizes? Message us with your dog's weight and leg measurements and we'll confirm the right size for you. Remember a small gap at the edges is normal, so don't size up because of it.

Wearing it day to day
Wear the band during the day, especially during activity, and take it off at night. During the settling-in period, try not to leave your dog alone for too long in case they try to remove it by biting or scratching. Always take the rigid splints out before hand washing.
