STEP 1: Determine Your Frame Size (Based on Weight)

Your Dachshund's WEIGHT is the primary factor in choosing the correct wheelchair size.

Option 1: MINI FRAME - For Miniature Dachshunds

If your Dachshund weighs 7-40 lbs, you need a SMALL frame. Now select the right configuration based on rear leg height:

How to measure chest circumference: Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs. The tape should be snug but not tight.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DACHSHUND

You Need 3 Measurements:

MEASUREMENT 1: Weight Simply weigh your Dachshund on a pet scale or bathroom scale (hold them, then weigh yourself alone and subtract).

MEASUREMENT 2: Rear Leg Height

    • Measure from the floor to the toe pad
    • Allow a natural bend in the leg (don't pull it straight!)
    • This determines which Small frame configuration you need

MEASUREMENT 3: Armpit to Rump (ATR)
